Pearl’s Place in Bronzeville is a true gem! The food is consistently delicious, with generous portions that really hit the spot. It’s authentic, home-style soul food served in a classy, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit special. The service is always excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional—which adds so much to the overall experience. You can tell the management is doing a fantastic job because everything runs smoothly and guests feel well taken care of. A must-visit if you’re craving soul food done right!

Great historical establishment. They have A+ soul food and Kool-Aid. Yes I said Kool-Aid. The choice of 6+ meats(BBQ tips and turkey legs, meat loaf, fried chicken, baked and smothered chicken, and jerk chicken) 15+sides (beets, cole slaw, potato salad, two types of green salads, yams, dressing, baked beans, spinach, turnip/mustard, cabbage, collard greens, green beans, tomatoes, onions, peppers and I am forgetting something. Desserts-peach cobbler, banana pudding, apple cobbler...I have to stop I'm getting full just naming the food items. Historical people have performed and dined in the walls of this gem. MUST VISIT

I really had my hopes high for delicious soul food . I have seen videos and know people who RAVED about the food being delicious. The plates came out and they were picture perfect, it was just lacking the flavor. The service was a 10/10. The restaurant itself, was nice, clean, cozy and family friendly.

This was our first time at Pearl’s Place while visiting Chicago. Our group consisted of folks from North Carolina and Wisconsin. Mr. Darryl was wonderful to work with over the phone and a pleasure to meet in person. He and the staff were so friendly. The food was delicious. You can’t go wrong with the all you can eat buffet which offers hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. Additionally, there’s an omelet and salad station. The portions were large which was great. We ordered a whole sweet potato pie which was a marvelous ending to our brunch. Highly recommended!

The food is always good, I had some out-of-town guests and this food did not disappoint them either. We were a party of 8 with 2 kids. Service is always great. Next, I have to try the buffet. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals I just didn't get all the photos cause they were eating it up

So, I ate the buffet food and EVERYTHING was amazing seriously. Jerk chicken with baked Mac & cheese, dressing with gravy and a side of cranberry sauce. Beef meatloaf, sweet potatoes, pancakes, eggs and more... Everything was great

First time here. Was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon, but we were able to be seated right away. The food and drinks were good as we ordered off the menu, but next time, we will try the buffet. Service was okay but seeing how busy they were and having to wait a while before even getting water or bread, they might want to have a few more servers. Would recommend it, and I would go back.

Was in the search for some banana pudding and came across this spot and the banana pudding here is delicious!! Hands down best banana pudding in the area! I’ve been a repeat customer!
